It is with heavy hearts that we at East Coast Transport, LLC announce the passing of our colleague and dear friend, Paul D. Berman, 68, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Paul passed away due to natural causes on October 18, 2025.

Paul served as Vice President of Logistics at ECT, but his impact extended far beyond his title. For more than 17 years, Paul was involved in almost every aspect of our day-to-day operations and played a vital role in our company's growth, culture, and success. He was not only a leader, but a mentor, a trusted advisor, and a steady presence who always put the company and its people first.

With over 40 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industry, Paul brought unmatched knowledge and passion to his work. His background spanned food manufacturing, distribution, transportation, sales, and fleet operations — including years spent behind the wheel himself. His dedication, discipline, and commitment to operational excellence earned the respect of customers, partners, and coworkers alike.

Paul was also immensely proud of his community service, having served for 16 years with the fire department in South Jersey in multiple roles. His sense of duty and willingness to serve carried into everything he did.

His love for motorsports and fast cars was well-known, and his enthusiasm for life was infectious. Among his many professional achievements, Paul played a key role in East Coast Transport being nominated Carrier of the Year by Butterball LLC three times — a testament to his leadership and relentless pursuit of quality.

In 2017, Paul relocated from Woodbury, New Jersey to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to help open ECT’s South Florida sales office, further demonstrating his belief in — and commitment to — the future of the company.

Paul is survived by his wife and his son, whom he loved deeply.

Paul will be missed more than words can express. His legacy will continue to live on in the people he influenced, the standards he set, and the company he helped build.
