On Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, Daniel J. Latta Jr. passed away at the age of 51 in his home. Daniel’s family, friends, and co-workers at East Coast Transport LLC are devastated by his loss. East Coast Transport LLC has a plan in place to handle the transition of Daniel’s current workload and ensure that no customer or carrier’s calls or messages go unanswered. Daniel’s loss will be felt throughout the community. He lived in the area surrounding Philadelphia for many years. Daniel was born in Darby, PA, and attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School. He graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School class of 1987 and joined East Coast Transport LLC to start his career.
Daniel is the son and stepson of our founders, Daniel Latta Sr. and the late Tina Latta who passed away from breast cancer in 2017. Daniel has contributed to East Coast Transport LLC for his entire career and worked his way up to become a Logistics Manager. As a Logistics Manager, he was in charge of overseeing daily operations and account management.
His legacy will be honored at East Coast Transport LLC as we remember and uphold his excellent customer service, the forward-thinking mindset in the logistics industry, and passion for the reputation of the company. His friends and family will remember him fondly for his love of sports, history, debating, oldies music, and mashed potatoes.
